WEDDING DJ PLANNING FORMS: Every client at Dream House Productions receives an email with instructions on how to succesfully plan and submit all the documents required to perform at their event. We have chosen to use DJ INTELLIGENCE as our Planning Portal but you can utilize any other services avilable such use Goggle Docs, Word files or E-Mails to acheive this.

THE PLANNING PORTAL

Please see instructions below to start planning your wedding with Dream House Productions. The following are what is required  as Wedding DJ Planning Forms by us to perform at your wedding. Please note that the Planning Portal should be completed and submitted at a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the wedding date and is required to be at least 80% complete prior to scheduling our final meeting. The Planning Portal will lock you out 1 day prior to the wedding date. It is very important to make sure any last minute changes are brought to the attention of your DJ via phone, text or email after the lock out date.

The planning form gives us all the important details we need to perform at your wedding. Please make sure you have clearly listed all the songs you require for special dances. The order of parents and bridal party listed on this form is for the reception and not for the ceremony. Clearly state the order in which you wish your party to be announced.

Note’s Area:
  • To add the order of the bridal party for the ceremony, please utilize this area on the form. You can also state the songs you wish to have played during the ceremony.
  • The Cake Cutting song can be enterted here as well.
  • If your bridal party are walking into more than once song, please note the titles of the song in this area.
  • This is also the page you would utilize to send any information you wish your DJ to have for the day of.

After you have completed entering your information to the form make sure you save it. Note that you should only submit it once you are a 100% sure there won’t be any changes to the form.

The Timeline is key! Even if you don’t have the exact times make sure you list the order of events scheduled for the night. Kindly list the names of any one giving speeches, toasts or blessings.

The music requests can be divided in to the following categories;

  • Must Play List
  • Play If Possible List
  • Custom List
  • Do Not Play List

When adding songs, you can choose to add songs to any of these categories.

Must Play List:

Please note that these songs are the titles you absolutely want to hear at your wedding. Keep these songs below 45 minutes. Anymore than 45 minutes and you have just hired a DJ service to follow a playlist and you aren’t trusting the DJ to do what he/she was hired to do, perform and keep the dance floor packed all night!

Play If Possible List: 

This is where you would put in songs that you feel might work for your friends and family at your reception. You can go crazy with this list and put in as many songs as you wish. We will use our best judgment and see if these titles would work during the dance party.

Custom List: 

If you have entered a song and the site does not recognize the title add this to the Custom list. This will indicate to us that the song wasn’t available and helps us recognize that we need to find the song on other sites. This is a great tool to use with any songs that aren’t western.

Do Not Play List: 

Even though as a company we are a cheese free zone, there’s always a guest after a few drinks that thinks the “Chicken Dance” or something in the same genre would be a great request. Therefore, make sure you enter a few songs in this category to avoid us playing songs that you wouldn’t want to hear at your reception. This list is as important to us as your must play list.

Once the Wedding DJ Planning Forms have been finalized and completed you will receive an email notification with PDF files of everything you have submitted.
