As we starting dating, The Kerryman became our going out spot as we loved the music there. If Ruki wasn’t playing, we would leave and go elsewhere! Once we got engaged we decided we wanted to use Dreamhouse Productions at our wedding. Ruki agreed to travel down to Charleston, SC for it. He was very easy to work with. The night of, he played just as we wanted and everyone was very impressed and had a great time. Ruki truly does create a great energy by keeping people of all ages on their toes! When others talk about the wedding they always comment on how great the music was.

This was by far the best decision we made! Ruki did an absolutely amazing job at our wedding and went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect. We brought him in from out of town and he arrived early and made sure everything was ready to go. His attention to detail is impeccable and he helped us put together a timeline before our wedding, which he helped us stick to. He also served as a day of coordinator, making sure the night flowed smoothly and seamlessly. We didn’t have to worry about anything at our wedding because Ruki made sure everything was taken care of. He kept the dance floor packed all night long with our guests of all ages! Ruki is very professional and truly great at his craft. We have heard from so many guests how much fun they had at our wedding and that is certainly in large part due to Ruki! Ruki is the best DJ in Chicago!! He made our wedding so much fun and kept the dance floor full the entire time. He played a great mix of music that appealed to all age groups. We’re still getting comments on how great the music was – people who never dance said they danced all night long! Ruki provided his services for Johnson & Johnson at our clients General Managers Conference in April of 2014. At set up the day prior, we discovered an elevated table was not ordered, even though we requested it. Ruki’s assistant got on the phone to him immediately and rectified the situation. The correct table was there within a few hours and set up. THAT IS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Our booth was rocking and attracted so many people because of the amazing music. Everyone was dancing by and in the booth – it was infectious!! It really made out booth a success! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! I recently had a great experience with Ruki Doyle from Dream House! I was the Chair for a charity Wine Social event for the Ronald McDonald House at the Palmer House Hilton Grand Ballroom. Ruki and his team were very easy to work with and it was nice that they already had experience doing events in the Grand Ballroom. We hired Ruki because we were looking to take our event to the next level and create more of a party atmosphere and gradually ‘ramp’ the night up over 3-4 hours. I was extremely happy with the music selection and he was able to appeal to the wide demographic range of our attendees and keep it tasteful. We received numerous compliments about the event, particularly the music and pulse of the night. Another bonus of hiring Ruki was his flexibility. We had a situation during the event and decided to extend the event an extra hour to last until midnight. Unfortunately, we didn’t consult with him beforehand but he kept playing anyway. So grateful that he kept the party going, no questions asked! I will definitely recommend using Ruki and Dream House for future events.

I already said this on Yelp, but I’ll say it again: Ruki is the man. If you’re a soon-to-be-wed couple, here’s just some general advice. Make a schedule for the day, rehearse that schedule, put people in charge of things , and hire someone to keep the whole show running on time. That being said, if none of that ends up happening, don’t worry–Ruki will probably just cover it all for you like he did for us. The entire evening, toasts, special dances, and the very brief ceremony all ran on time thanks to Ruki and his staff. Plus, ahead of time, the setup staff was awesome about rearranging the setup last minute. As for the music, I saved the best for last. I would describe my wife and I as “We’re not hipsters, but everyone who’s not from Chicago calls us hipsters.” We have particular music tastes and our wedding was mostly young people and family. So we wanted this wedding to be about 15 minutes of ceremony followed by three hours of dance party. Our first concern was having some cornball Top 40 music that everyone rolled their eyes at. Our second was obviously that people wouldn’t dance. Luckily, as soon as the music started, neither of those were even close to an issue. People from grandparents to college kids were dancings their nuts off and everyone just kept telling us how awesome the music was. It was energetic, it was sweaty, it was awesome. Better yet, before the show starts, the tools on the Dreamhouse website make personalizing the night a snap, and every meeting with Ruki was friendly and super helpful. I’m rambling on, and probably saying what all the other reviews already did, but seriously he’s the best. If you get an iPod for a DJ, everyone will hate you including me.

Review #1: DJ Ruki performed at our annual MS Charity Event on Southport Avenue. As expected, he killed it. Many of our attendees have since asked for his information for their events due to how impressed they were. We will continue to look to use DJ Ruki going forward. I give him a great deal of credit for his professionalism, charm and his incredible perceptiveness. Ruki just knows how to handle it all. Positives: Kept everyone dancing. We hired Ruki for our wedding in New Jersey, and it was one of the best decisions we made. He was not only a phenomenal DJ, but was a great MC as well. I only finalized my reception timeline a few days before the wedding, but he executed the entire night perfectly. He truly cared about the wedding being a success, and he did everything to make sure that happened. Throughout the entire planning process, I never had to give music a second thought, because I had heard Ruki DJ before and I knew he was good. At our wedding he played all the right songs at the right time, and from the moment the dancing started, our dance floor was jam packed until the very end! We literally had to ask people to get off the dance floor at the end of the night. So many guests told me how great the music was, and even guests who I know NEVER dance were on the dance floor! If you want a great wedding DJ, hire Ruki. He’s just so experienced and amazing at what he does. His way of transitioning songs and reading the crowd is perfect, and he knows how to keep people dancing all night, no matter what variety of guests you have.
