Ruki DJ’d our wedding last night at Osteria Via Stato and he was AMAZING. From start to finish our experience with Ruki was wonderful. He is professional and was responsive to all of our inquiries. When the wedding day arrived Ruki went above and beyond to coordinate with our minister, my photographer and the event staff to ensure that everything went smoothly. He played all of our ceremony music perfectly and the cocktail hour and dinner music was great too! When it came time for our reception, Ruki had everyone dancing THE ENTIRE TIME. I’ve never been to a wedding where that has happened as there are usually lulls in the music and people drift off the dance floor. Not with Ruki – it was literally one of the best dance parties I’ve ever been to!!!! Our guests had the time of their lives and so did we, which is what everyone wants for their wedding. Do yourself and your guests a favor and hire Ruki – it will be one of the best decisions you can make for your big day. It definitely was for us. We love you Ruki!!!!

If you are planning a party or wedding and are looking for the BEST DJ out there? Then look no farther, you found him. I stumbled upon DJ Ruki in a Chicago bar several years ago. Myself and a friend of mine were out and about hanging out and walked into a bar where Ruki was DJing at. It took no time at all to realize this guy was GOOD. So good, in fact, that another friend was in town for a wedding and she brought the WHOLE wedding party and family out to the bar to party and dance with Ruki. and boy did he deliver. Fast forward about 5 years and it’s time for my wedding. I didn’t even shop around, DJ Ruki was the ONLY option. My now husband was nervous, he had never heard of this guy, but I told him “trust me on this one”. DJ Ruki traveled to Ferndale, MI to DJ our wedding at the Rust Belt Market. He was fantastic. From the time we signed the contract, there was nothing but professionalism and ease. He played exactly type of music we wanted during cocktail hour and dinner. He stepped in and helped the wedding coordinator release tables for dinner when she was busy doing other things. He entertained the kids with music they enjoyed while the adults were eating….and once it came time to dance, I have never seen people swarm a dance floor so fast. And it never stopped. People were dancing THE ENTIRE TIME (including my 90 year old grandfather)!! it was actually amazing. I put a lot of hard work in the planning of our wedding (and I wouldn’t change it for the world), but still 2 weeks later, I hear more about the DJ than anything else. Here are a few comments I’ve heard over the past week: “Thumbs up! He even listened to me when I wanted a song played.” – 5 year old little girl “BEST DJ EVER!” – 28 year old man “Does he have mix tapes?” – 29 year old woman “OMG, this guy is amazing! We are totally booking him for our wedding in Oct.” – 36 year old man “I didnt know it was possible to have that many people dancing the entire time at a wedding. We even have booze left over because people were dancing more than drinking.” – 59 year old Father of the Bride “That was the most fun I’ve had in a VERY long time. Thank you.” – 90 year old Grandfather of the Bride To sum it up, DJ Ruki is incredible. He played to our crowd, young and old, for the entire night. I could not have asked for anything better. Ruki was the perfect dj for our wedding over Memorial Day weekend. He was recommended to me by a friend, and even though our wedding was in the Eastern Shore, MD – we decided to fly him out for one night to spin at our wedding. And that was easily the best decision we made! People were raving about the range of music he played, his mixing between songs, his ability to play for the crowd and read their energy. Our dancefloor was packed the ENTIRE time – 2.5 hours of nonstop dancing. He was easy to work with and played the right range of music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. I would have no problem recommending him again to anyone!

Ruki did a great job at our wedding! We were worried people wouldn’t dance bc it was a dry wedding but Ruki kept the dance floor packed the whole time!! He did a good job picking songs to suit the mood of the crowd. Highly recommend.

We recently had DJ Ruki at our wedding. We could not have been happier. Between the easy planning tools, the look of the DJ Booth the day of, his interaction with the crowd and the awesome playlist that literally had the floor packed all night, he was awesome and I would recommend him to any and all of my friends. uki DJ’d my cousins wedding in September and was amazing!! He mixed in oldies with new music and had my grandparents dancing most of the night. When my now husband and I decided to cancel our destination wedding and have a smaller wedding in Chicago I didn’t even think about hiring another DJ, we got Ruki’s info and booked him right away! Our wedding was amazing at Floating World Gallery with a large part being because of Ruki! He kept me informed with everything going on and even though we got behind schedule due to some parking issues around the venue, it didn’t even feel like it thanks to Ruki being on top of everything. He played some amazing music and kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night! I can’t say enough great things about him! Thank you for making our wedding memorable Ruki!!

We use to frequent Ruki’s Thursday nights at Kerryman for years – its actually where my husband and I reacquainted ourselves! So when we started to plan our wedding, Ruki was BY FAR the first choice! I mean have you ever been to one of his DJ events? You can’t leave the dance floor for a drink because you dont want to miss the dancing! He mixes. Not just play music with transitions, he actually mixes. But we were like, does he even know how to DJ a wedding? Well apparently he is a Wedding DJ as well! AMAZING!!! When he met with us, he put our mind at ease on choosing him. He was upfront with us with what he can do and cannot do – which worked great for us. He doesn’t do all the video djing stuff, but we could care less about that. He didn’t have a dhol player, but could recommend one or work with any we hired. He worked so well with the one we hired. I mean, if we had Ruki, that’s ALL we cared about. He knows how to keep the dance floor packed and play the music we would want. Ruki is also exceptional when it comes to wedding planning. From the wedding tool he has you fill out, he knows the timing of all the events. He keeps track of the timing and let’s you know when you need to move to the next item. He is another set of eyes that you need! I am so glad we went with Ruki for our wedding events and that he was luckily available! He was great to work with, kept the dance floor packed (One of our guest told us that he couldn’t believe that 90% of the guests were on the dance floor till the end of the night), worked with a Baraat that was dealing with Rain, and went out of his way for us – DJ our afterparty! We could not have asked for a better DJ than Ruki for our wedding. Was a joy to work with from the beginning. Extremely professional and very accommodating to our requests. Many people have told us after the wedding, that every time they wanted to take a break from dancing, Ruki played another song that kept them going. Ruki as very easy to work with and did a great job reading the crowd and getting everyone to stay on the dance floor at our wedding. He was great about meeting with us beforehand to go over our music choices and timeline of events. He was definitely key in making sure the flow of the evening went smoothly.
