This past weekend we had Ruki DJ our wedding. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out! I was a little worried because we had only interviewed Ruki that maybe we settled, but from the first conversation I could tell he knew what he was doing and that he would do a wonderful job to cater to the crowd. We had quite the group of people there ranging with music from country, classics, and current and Ruki hit every genre!
Typically at a wedding the DJ announces that the dance floor is open and it takes a few brave souls to start the party. At our wedding Ruki announced the floor was open and had the dance floor packed from start to finish. If having a crowded dance floor is important to you then Ruki is the way to go. He was able to change songs seamlessly if they needed to be and let the ones that people were loving play through. At the end of the night Ruki played Piano Man, not on our play list but the highlight of my night!
THANK YOU! Working with Ruki was simple, he contacted the venue, gives you a planning tool for timeline/playlist/etc, and connects with you week of to make sure that you are on the same page. The night of he came up just to make sure that things were going well and that we were still on track with the plan. Just the right amount of checking in but also knowing the flow of a wedding to take control.
