THE GARBA CASINO NIGHT
Dream House Productions recently had the pleasure of performing as the Chicago Indian Wedding DJ for Chirag Patel & Pretty Kalaria. This was an amazing celebration spanning 2 days in Chicago IL. The first night was a Casino Themed Garba Night. We witnessed many performances from both sides of the family, It was a colorful night of celebration enjoyed by all. Chirag even made Pretty do a James Bond Themed entrance that was spot on.
BARAAT & WEDDING CEREMONY
The next day started off early with a Baraat procession. Chirag chose to ride in a Red Maserati instead of the traditional horse. He was very specific in his requests for the music played during the Baraat. He wanted a blend of Indian Bangra and Bollywood hits accompanied by an element of the ’90s and 2000’s Hip Hop hits. The Wedding Celebration was next and it was breathtaking. Min & Shilpa Patel of Dream Occasions Decor had the venue looking like something out of a fairytale Bollywood movie. The pathway to the Mandap was a glass ramp that spanned half the room. Kudos to Dream Occasions for showcasing their talent and attention to detail.
THE WEDDING RECEPTION
The Cocktail hour boasted of food and drinks fit for a king. Pretty’s dad who owns Chicago’s premier Indian Wedding catering company India House didn’t spare any expenses. My favorite was the Lollypop Lamb Chops and the Spicy Shrimp Cocktail. The Bride and Groom looked stunning in their traditional Indian attire for the reception. Once again Dream Occasions knocked it out of the ballpark with a stage that was accented by fuchsia uplighting and table settings fit for a Royal Wedding. Dream House Productions enhanced the look with 44 wireless uplights, 4 moving heads with trussing, a massive LED Video Wall DJ Facade complete with a custom monogram and an engagement photo of the couple. We had to bring the big guns out to cater to nearly 1000 guests. We chose a massive RCF Line array system with fillers around the room to give the guests a dance party they will not forget for years. The dance floor was packed from the first dance in which the couple danced on the clouds with our dry ice effect to the very last song of the night. Even though it was time to leave at 1:30 AM the crowd kept screaming for one more song. It was the icing on the cake to have received a huge hug by Pretty & Chirag at the end of the night thanking us for a job well done.
We wish Chirag & Pretty all the best in their new chapter in life and hopefully will remain friends in the years to come. Congratulations Chirag & Pretty!
